HIERARCHIC OFFICES- HEADQUARTERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES The offices for the Mayor of Buenos Aires, his Deputy Head of Government and the Chef de Cabinet, as well as their respective working and meeting rooms are the only closed spaces in the new Headquarters of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires. The premise was to assimilate the materials and palette of the architectural project, therefore light- colored woods such as oak and ash tree were used for the equipment. The smooth curves of the oak rods in the ceilings added flexibility to the space and gave a special quality to the light. Straight lines predominated in the furniture and soft textiles in a light-colored palette were used for the upholstery.

LIMA HOTEL COUNTRY CLUB The objective of the project was to modernize and add value to this jewel of the Hispanic architecture, a very fashionable style in Latin America in the early 20th century. It was then, and still is, the meeting place of the Lima high society and business community, a venue of multiple events, a very crowded bar, a restaurant recommended in gastronomic guides. All these issues had to be taken into account when facing the challenge of updating the place without betraying its roots. For all the public spaces the idea was to reinforce an image of elegance and exclusiveness, with due respect for Lima´s restrained chic, we focused on textiles, carpets and rugs, dark wood, the recycling of the furniture, the accessories and other objects of patrimonial value.  In rooms and suites both technical installations and overall style were updated, new furniture brought in and the perception of space modified through diffuse lighting coves on perimeter walls. Dark wood on light-colored textiles and muted shades, chenille and silk textures.  Bright colors on a chair, a cushion or an accessory.

EL DOK EVENTS CENTER. PROVINCE OF BUENOS AIRES On the premises of a stud farm for polo horses, several buildings make up the largest venue for social events located in the country club belt of the outskirts of the city of Buenos Aires. Inspiration for the project was drawn from the surrounding landscape, the lifestyle in the pampa countryside, polo games, horses, each space displaying a  narrative in line with its function. The conceptual design was based on the idea that a big party was going to be held, with many references to celebrities and mythical characters, cosmopolitan in spirit but with a local sophisticated mark, very discreet. We had fun imagining it. Each building has its own character and each space a particular atmosphere. In one of the buildings the protagonist is rustic wood, in another one bright colored textiles and in a third one the amount of copper plated accessories, which includes the big sculpture “Los Cobres” by artist Flori Sutton and her team, representing a tree top with copper leaves that cover the center of the bar. The lighting was designed to highlight the texture of the surfaces, as if it emerged from the object itself. The […]

RESTAURANT IN DOHA, QATAR This was a project for a gastronomic complex which included restaurants and special halls, with a focus on Argentine meat. The design drew its inspiration from the traditional residencies of the large Pampa ranches: rustic wooden boards on floors were combined with fur facings and coarse textured textiles, leather seats, big black iron chandeliers , each room revealed something special that made it unique. To adjust the conceptual design of this project it was important to travel to Doha and visit Katara Village with its diverse ethnic food outlets, and in particular to harmonize the strong identity of the Argentine countryside with the maximum comfort requirement.
